Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Dear warrior,
Have you seen that sticker that reads, “I’m spending my children’s inheritance”?
I always smile when I see it and I think to myself, “Good for you!” Warriors, there is a GODLY inheritance that cannot be gifted with money, but, when taught, provides the recipe for success!

“10 Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; 11 for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.” Proverbs 8:10-11

While it is noble to leave a monetary sum to your children, and their children, money cannot substitute for the priceless inheritance in teaching the wisdom and understanding of GOD’S WORDAllegiance and obedience to GOD must be taught and cannot be bought (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) (Prov 13:22)

“7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you. 10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble. 13 Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; keep her, for she is your life.” Proverbs 4:7-13

Rev & I have been speaking quite a bit lately about the legacy we will leave behind and how we can ensure that our wishes are honored. All we can do is create foundations that will carry out, contractually, our requisites, but it is sheer folly to believe that anyone will carry on our visions with the heart of our torch (if at all). I remember one year I needed a major breakthrough so I asked certain family members to fast and pray for my birthday rather than give me any gifts; and not a single one did. My point in telling you this is to say that your passions, your dreams, your goals, your needs, and your desires, are Uniquely YOURS so do not lay stock in anyone for the things that you hold dear.

The other day someone sent me a current photo of the home I grew up in with my grandfather.  One particular image of the back property hit me hard because I remembered how diligently he worked it, and how beautiful and fertile it used to be. Many years have passed since those days and the new owners leveled and “gutted” the property to suit the their vision. You see, as it was, they found no value: All of my grandfather’s labor returned to the dirt –  And this is life.

17 Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

18 Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me. 19 And who knows whether he will be wise or a fool? Yet he will rule over all my labor in which I toiled and in which I have shown myself wise under the sun. This also is vanity. 20 Therefore I turned my heart and despaired of all the labor in which I had toiled under the sun. 21 For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, knowledge, and skill; yet he must leave his heritage to a man who has not labored for it. This also is vanity and a great evil. 22 For what has man for all his labor, and for the striving of his heart with which he has toiled under the sun? 23 For all his days are sorrowful, and his work burdensome; even in the night his heart takes no rest. This also is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 2:17-23

I’ve personally experienced, and seen plenty, the ugly face of greed when one generation passes and leaves their estate to the children, grandchildren, etc., I’ve also been witness to the other angle where the children just don’t want the responsibility of the parents plight because it doesn’t coincide with their life, and their dreams, and their goals; nor should it, because each one is allotted a certain amount of time to live as they see fit. Beloved, while it is still called, “Today,” participate in living, for GOD has already accepted your works.

“Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.” Ecclesiastes 9:7

HERE’S THE NUGGET: To abstain from enjoying the fruit of your labor is not advisable nor biblical for a pleasant journey that ends all too soon.

“12 I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, 13 and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Until next time,
Go enjoy your hard earned fruits!

As we celebrate The LORD JESUS this day, let us remember that HE comes to give life to the dead. There are no great revelations that one must seek to find HIM, for HE is within everyone-For are we all not created in kingdom likeness..

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27

Never seek an opinion according to the Truth, for any answer given may corrupt your thinking and turn you away from what is the perfect will of the HEAVENLY FATHER’S direction for all who know and have opted to veer away for fear of offending their peers..

“The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” Proverbs 29:25

Warriors, there can be no religious sugar coating to the truth: Pain is pain, lust is lust, lies are lies, deception is deception, death is death, and life is life no matter what generation it is found in, and no matter what religious views sugar coat them; all lead to destruction if not given over to JESUS, for HE IS the RESURRECTION, the PORTAL to the FATHER, and the WAY that leads to pure joy and happiness that is man’s perpetual seeking.

HERE’S THE NUGGET: ALL who call upon the NAME of JESUS shall be saved if belief of HIM is in the heart, and confession that “HE IS” is on the lips of the seeker, THEN, HE is found..

Dear Everyone,
Today is a day of reflection and an answer to the question of, “Who and why am I?”

“8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:8-9

Happy Resurrection Day!

26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels. Luke 9:26

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

It is hard to enter the narrow path, especially if you carry a large load: Cast off your burdens, those things that you trust in, and know that the LORD will provide all you need for your journey to be successful and purposeful. If you put your faith and trust in your things, then the wide road is waiting for you because it’s a narrow path, with a narrow gate, and there’s no room for baggage. Remember, warrior, difficult is the way.

There is no Shangri-La or nirvana waiting for you at the end of the wide road you entered onto through the wide gate. Though the narrow gate and narrow path may test your metal, it will not harm you; on the contrary, it will embolden you, strengthen you, and give you a purpose and a mark to focus on.

There will come a time when the gate will close and those who have not chosen will not be able to enter in, and the LORD will say, ‘I do not know you from where you are’ (on the outside). The path of righteousness will not lead you to destruction, but the wide path will. It was spoken , it is written, and it is true. Choose wisely!

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” Matthew 7:21-23

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:8

Now then, march on BOLD warrior into 2017 where you will celebrate its wealth of good that is in store for you.

Happy New Year!
Rev & Destiny / C Y U

Every day, I run across people who have no hope or expectation for a better tomorrow. I know many who are afraid to anticipate anything above tolerable and mediocre just to avoid disappointment. When I was a child, I thought that way. I was so afraid to love out of fear of being rejected, that I just found an emotional hiding place & kept it warm & cozy with my fears. That fear carried on into my young adult years & in every situation, I would keep, ‘one foot over the fence’ so that I was the one in control- Or so I thought..

Fear is an odd thing and is often confused with discernment or wisdom. You must use discernment to make wise decisions, but if you make those decisions based on fear, they are left to their own schemes. Fear is bondage. Fear is not freedom or preparation as I supposed when I was young. Fear binds, fear confines, fear chokes, fear evokes, fear evades, fear sickens, fear limits, and fear leads to spiritual death.

BE FREE: If you want to be freed from fear, you must understand its origin:

• For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7
• There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10

Fear is reserved for the world, not GOD’S people:

• We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
1 John 5:19
• 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4

Fear is a battle in the mind where satan loves to play:

• Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Fear evokes worry, and worry begets doubt, and doubt chokes the kingdom’s intervention:

• 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:5-8

Fear is NOT your friend. The only good fear is the fear of GOD:

• Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil. Ecclesiastes 5:1

Until next time,
Make peace with peace ✌

You know when you’re just about to come out on the other side of GOD’s promise and then bam, another stinking thing to block the way? Have you been there? Are you there? Well, it doesn’t get easier just because you’re at the tail end of a purging (which is another word all together), because evil never sleeps; it has more energy and time than you do, and it’s on assignment 24/7.

Many of you are just about to cross over into the ‘promised’ land and if ever there was a time to stand, it’s now! To be the leader that GOD is calling you to be, your faith must not wane in any circumstance. Remember, warriors, the accuser of the brethren purposes and plans day & night, your destruction. His job is to cast shadows of doubt so that your eyes see what he wants you to see and not what GOD sees for you. Evil will always be present and it will either sharpen your iron or keep you from the fruit of your land as you continually press forward towards your high calling.

Here’s a great example: There was a season in our church of many  years ago that when we would walk out to minister music the pastoral staff would clearly get jittery and squirmy in their chairs. We later found out that tremendous sin was going on in their lives and when we would minster, the conviction was not welcome. I didn’t know all this at the time which would have made it so much easier to deal with but The LORD would just tell us to press on and so that’s what we would do, and great moves of the spirit always transpired. The moral of this story is to stand where you’re placed and keep your eyes on The LORD.

Remember, lovelies, shadows will always be swallowed up in the  Light of Truth as long as you let the Light of Jesus shine for you.

The word of GOD tells us that childhood & youth are vanity and yet we are told to have ‘childlike’ faith. So, why is one vanity, and the other victory? Perhaps a simple thing called, “Perspective” Eccl 11:10, Matt 18:3
Pertaining to faith, perspective is the way that one looks at

When you look to GOD do you see HIM as HE is or is your
view muddled up in the shadows of doubt that satan casts?

When you look to GOD do you see HIS magnitude, or the magnitude of
the thing that you are seeking deliverance from?

When you look to GOD do you see the strength of HIS kingdom or do
you feel the defeat of your enemies?

Admittedly, I’ve complained to The LORD more times than I can count about how much HE asks us to endure, and each time HE reminds me that effectual leaders must have a keen perspective to lead and anything less is destructive and unacceptable. And while it would be nice if one could go buy as much as is needed, it cannot be found on a shelf or in any book. Perspective comes from overcoming, so let me boast just a little that Rev & I are the king & queen of that!

Remember when the LORD spoke to Moses and told him to send spies  into the land of Canaan? GOD specifically told Moses to send a leader from every tribe. Why is it that only two out of the twelve came back with a good report?

13 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Send men to spy out the  land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them.”

3 So Moses sent them from the Wilderness of Paran according to the command of the Lord, all of them men who were heads of the children of Israel. 4 Now these were their names: from the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur; 5 from the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori; 6 from the tribe of Judah (my tribe :), Caleb the son of Jephunneh; 7 from the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph; 8 from the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Nun; 9 from the tribe of  Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu; 10 from the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi; 11 from the tribe of Joseph, that is, from the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi; 12 from the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli; 13 from the tribe of Asher, Sethur  the son of Michael; 14 from the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of  Vophsi; 15 from the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.

16 These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the  land. And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun, Joshua.

17 Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to  them, “Go up this way into the South, and go up to the mountains,  18 and see what the land is like: whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, few or many; 19 whether the land they dwell
in is good or bad; whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or strongholds; 20 whether the land is rich or poor; and whether there are forests there or not. Be of good courage. And bring some of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the season of the first  ripe grapes.

21 So they went up and spied out the land from the Wilderness of  Zin as far as Rehob, near the entrance of Hamath. 22 And they went  up through the South and came to Hebron; Ahiman, Sheshai, and  Talmai, the descendants of Anak, were there. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.) 23 Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought  some of the pomegranates and figs. 24 The place was called the Valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the men of Israel cut down there. 25 And they returned from spying out the land after forty days.

26 Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.” 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”

31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

14 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. 2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” 4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”

5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.

6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.” Nu 13,14

Lovelies, it’s all in the way you perceive something. If you see yourself as tiny, then tiny you are! If you see yourself as a giant  slayer, then…

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall
by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

You are the author of your success or failure but if you take on a leadership role you better be prepared because the battle is continuous and brutal, and only those whose faith is in the present by battles & skirmishes will be able to lead the TRUE victory march.

You may not like or agree with the man, Donald Trump, and I’m certainly not directing you in any way, but you better have a Trump-like resolve when the real attacks begin because while faith is a good fight, it is a very real fight. Come along with us, Rev & I are unapologetically battle ready and victory bound…

Until next time,
Rise above.
