♦O’ LORD, we are not helpless, we are arrows in a sure place but we do not know what to do about this great multitude that comes against us.
♦Day & night, evil plots and accuses the innocent. Day & night, evil takes a stance against the righteousness of Truth.
♦O’ LORD, we are hard pressed on every side but we are not destroyed, though sometimes, destruction, and not discretion, would seem the better part of valor..

“He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.” – 1 Kings 19:4

Dear tired one,
I understand, and you must as well, that when you take a stand against evil, evil fights back, BUT, evil (the enemy) only succeeds when failure is an option.

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” Revelation 1:18

We already won!

Dear warrior,
As each one steps into their rightful position, the pieces will align, and the workings of darkness will be exposed and overcome by the light of life. We are arrows in GOD’S mighty bow, so, position your sharpened self and be counted worthy because the trumpet is about to sound.

Until next time,
It’s time!

I was writing a song yesterday titled, “HERE AND NOW” which in turn got me thinking about the following:  As a child, when other kids were playing with barbie dolls, I was planning my great escape. I couldn’t help but ponder life and how fast it was going by. I now know why the LORD gave me such a keen perspective on time and eternity, but back then, all I knew was that life was passing me by and by the age of Nine, all I could think of was how to leave home in order to start my own life. I won’t glamorize my choices by discussing them, but suffice it to say, with GOD’S Grace I survived!

Fast forward many years and I am to this day, a very structured person with goals and strategic pathways to achieving them. A difficulty for me is found in stillness, because, I rarely get tired, I hate to sit still, don’t like to sleep, and I LOVE what I do. But, in all that, I have come to realize that no achievement or accomplishment, or pursuit therein/thereof, can replace lost moments of time spent with those who make me happy.

It seems silly, but a few years ago when my baby (not really a baby, but my baby) posted this image on her Facebook page depicting the two of us, it hit me hard because I didn’t like being that way.  Working hard and being diligent is one thing, but not being able to shut off is another altogether. I  want those whom I love to know that I love being with them, and I want to seize the moments before there are none left to seize.  I do not want my legacy to be about how much I achieved if it doesn’t coincide with how much I loved and gave back.

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth..” Proverbs 27:1

Dear Achiever,
No amount of planning and preparation will be sufficient enough to secure your future because who can say what a day may bring? I knew a lady who had an obsessive fear of getting cancer and so she sprouted all of her foods, exposed herself to just the right amount of sunshine for proper Vitamin D absorption, abstained from eating deserts, and using various cosmetics, etc., etc., and as life would go, in a routine check-up she found out that she had late stage cancer and ended up dying before the age of 45. We are but a wisp and I want to remind you that JESUS came to give us a life of ABUNDANCE and PEACE (well-being, sound mind) if we just reach for it.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

In all of your pursuits, it is best to enjoy each moment as given because it will never reappear and sadly, there is no rewind. I missed a lot of little things by looking so far into the future that I failed to see the present. I make conscious efforts now not to be like that, and when that antsy spirit from hell knocks on my door, my COUNSELOR, THE HOLY SPIRIT, quickly reminds me that my steps are ordered and I will arrive right on time (John 14:25-27).

“A man’s steps are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?”
Prov 20:24

Relax, and know that the plan is in THE MASTER’S HAND. Work hard, work forward, stay relevant, AND BREATHE. If I told you that I never had an actual “Vacation” I wouldn’t be exaggerating and because my life feels like a perpetual vacation, I don’t need one, and while those I love never complain, I know when they need my time and FULL attention:  When I satisfy the needs of my seeds (my family), all is well with my soul.

“Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God.” Eccl 2:24

Until next time,
Make a beautiful memory today

My Mom & I have little in common but what we do share, we really do! We both have a deep (bordering excessive) love & protective nature towards animals. We also love to worship. I remember one time we were shopping in a little boutique and at the exact same moment, we began dancing that goofy dance (you know the one)! It only lasted a few seconds but we looked at each other and laughed. I am a Hebrew worshiper from the House of David and the Spirit of JOY is always knocking on my door but sometimes, opening that door feels futile (incapable of producing any useful result). In those times, I either press in where JOY awaits or I let the moment pass me by.

“Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:11

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” Psalm 43:5

In these chaotic times, we must labor (make great effort) to enter into a place of rest (peaceful knowing). There is such a glorious release when we can surrender all of our concerns over to the LORD. I am programmed from birth to be a survivalist and if my grandfather taught me one thing, it was to never rely on anyone for anything. Throughout my life, this mindset has placed a tremendous burden upon my shoulders. Praise GOD for a loving and patient mate who survived my, “I’ll do it myself” motto! As you can guess, such a resolve isolates those who truly want to help you; and none want to help you as much as the CREATOR OF LIFE. Your loving FATHER stands ready to rescue you, to guide you, and to lead you to your destiny in safety and peace but you have to call out with your whole being. I remember one time I was praying about a thing and the LORD told me just that, to give by prayer and thanksgiving, ALL that I am, and THEN, I would see HIS salvation in my situation.

“Trust in Him at all times, you people;  pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah” Psalm 62:8

Our LORD GOD has many names and HIS NAME is whatever you need it to be at the time you need it. HE is the EVER PRESENT HELP in times of trouble so don’t be afraid to call out to HIM. There’s no pit too deep, and no sin too great that will ever keep YOUR LORD from hearing you.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

Dear warrior,
There is a time and place for everything which brings me to my point this morning. Recently, I was praying over something that’s been bothering me. I should note, not much gets under my skin these days but some things do, and in those times, I have two choices; I can take on the battle directly by waging war and confronting (admittedly, something I used to do all too often), OR, I can just give the troublesome thing over to JESUS where HE alone can serve up SWIFT JUSTICE..

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem [O YOU]’ ! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”
2 Chronicles 20:17

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22

“For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’” Isaiah 41:13

20 ‘Surely our adversaries are cut down, and the fire consumes their remnant.’” 21 “Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace;  thereby good will come to you.” Job 22:20-21

You can thwart the administration of justice by taking on battles that do not belong to you. Your job is to take care of the things that need tending to, and leave the rest to The ONE, who with the wave of a hand can abolish the ‘thing’ that troubles you.

When in doubt, troubled, or dissatisfied (not content or happy), pray in thanksgiving, and believe that your requests are known; KNOW that they are, because a little doubt can spoil the fruit of your labor.

“6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Until next time,
Be busy tending to your business/busyness

Hi Warrior,
This song, SHHH, is an “impromptu” recording from our jam session the other night. I wrote it not based on prurient interests or about my husband , but because I see and hear things: Husbands too busy or distracted to tend to their mate’s needs (BTW, someone else is always willing), and wives so busy bickering and complaining, they fail to notice that they are no longer heard-And so begins the disconnect.

Remember the flame that once was? It didn’t go out on its own. Reignite the passion and everything else will fall into place. If you don’t feel a flame, then pray for an ember. And if you don’t feel like praying for an ember, then pray in the Spirit (which you should do anyway) because HE is your Counselor, your Mighty Advocate, and as such, will always lead you towards the perfect will of GOD for your life.

10 Then He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes gathered to Him again, and as He was accustomed, He taught them again. 2 The Pharisees came and asked Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” testing Him. 3 And He answered and said to them, “What did Moses command you?” 4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her.” 5 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 6 But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Mark 10:1-9

I know what it feels like to want to quit, and the minute your mind starts going down that path, guess who’s right there with you to push it along?  I’ve said many times that you can justify any wrong with little effort, but fact still remains, The LORD GOD hates divorce:

“For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce, for it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the Lord of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.” Malachi 2:16

Dear lovely, I’m certainly not encouraging anyone to remain in an abusive or adulteress  situation, but rather, I am speaking to married couples who have just grown weary in love: There’s nothing better on the other side because after the newness of lust dissipates, what’s left are the same ancient-old issues of humanity. Oh yes indeed, there’s nothing new under the sun..

“8 All things are full of labor; man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. 9 That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.”  Ecclesiastes 1:8-9

HERE’S MY NUGGET TO YOU: Do not become separated; mind, spirit, soul, or physical, for if so, by one, each, you may be lost and not found-And how sad is that!

Until next time,
Stir the fire a little 🔥
