THE ILLUSIVE INTRUSIVE: AKA, Back Door Cowards

CYU-Back-Door-Cowards

I was once asked what my major pet peeves are and my answer was and is, “Back door cowards, and wet socks!” ©
By wet socks, I literally mean, “wet socks”.. I loathe them!
But, today’s thought isn’t about that, it’s about something else. Today, I’m shaking my head over a post I recently posted where one of my “Back Door Cowards” (a term I coined for someone who won’t acknowledge my talent but loves to copy it), took what I posted, changed it just a little, then added the “F” word, & now it’s a hit with thousands of likes and shares; this is what I experience over & over again, but, lovelies, remember, “YOUR Anointing, YOUR uniqueness, YOUR voice, YOUR Gifts, and YOUR passion cannot be duplicated, only mimicked” and in the end, these cowards be will be exposed..

For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8:17

I have acquaintances in my artistic circles who are hesitant (some unwilling) to post their works out of fear of them being stolen, and I do understand, but to allow a thief and a coward to hinder your progress is neither wise nor fruitful. In all, lovelies, the proof is in the pudding, and victory, success, vindication, justification, compensation, and acknowledgment, is to the one who owns the ingredients

HERE’S THE NUGGET: Never lose heart, YOUR gifts  WILL make room for you.

“A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16

Until next time,
Fret not.

A LASTING FOOTPRINT

CYU-Spending-400
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Dear warrior,
Have you seen that sticker that reads, “I’m spending my children’s inheritance”?
I always smile when I see it and I think to myself, “Good for you!” Warriors, there is a GODLY inheritance that cannot be gifted with money, but, when taught, provides the recipe for success!

“10 Receive my instruction, and not silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold; 11 for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.” Proverbs 8:10-11

While it is noble to leave a monetary sum to your children, and their children, money cannot substitute for the priceless inheritance in teaching the wisdom and understanding of GOD’S WORDAllegiance and obedience to GOD must be taught and cannot be bought (Deuteronomy 28:1-14) (Prov 13:22)

“7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you. 10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. 11 I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. 12 When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble. 13 Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; keep her, for she is your life.” Proverbs 4:7-13

Rev & I have been speaking quite a bit lately about the legacy we will leave behind and how we can ensure that our wishes are honored. All we can do is create foundations that will carry out, contractually, our requisites, but it is sheer folly to believe that anyone will carry on our visions with the heart of our torch (if at all). I remember one year I needed a major breakthrough so I asked certain family members to fast and pray for my birthday rather than give me any gifts; and not a single one did. My point in telling you this is to say that your passions, your dreams, your goals, your needs, and your desires, are Uniquely YOURS so do not lay stock in anyone for the things that you hold dear.

DUST TO DUST

The other day someone sent me a current photo of the home I grew up in with my grandfather.  One particular image of the back property hit me hard because I remembered how diligently he worked it, and how beautiful and fertile it used to be. Many years have passed since those days and the new owners leveled and “gutted” the property to suit the their vision. You see, as it was, they found no value: All of my grandfather’s labor returned to the dirt –  And this is life.

FATE’S DATE

17 Therefore I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me, for all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

18 Then I hated all my labor in which I had toiled under the sun, because I must leave it to the man who will come after me. 19 And who knows whether he will be wise or a fool? Yet he will rule over all my labor in which I toiled and in which I have shown myself wise under the sun. This also is vanity. 20 Therefore I turned my heart and despaired of all the labor in which I had toiled under the sun. 21 For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, knowledge, and skill; yet he must leave his heritage to a man who has not labored for it. This also is vanity and a great evil. 22 For what has man for all his labor, and for the striving of his heart with which he has toiled under the sun? 23 For all his days are sorrowful, and his work burdensome; even in the night his heart takes no rest. This also is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 2:17-23

I’ve personally experienced, and seen plenty, the ugly face of greed when one generation passes and leaves their estate to the children, grandchildren, etc., I’ve also been witness to the other angle where the children just don’t want the responsibility of the parents plight because it doesn’t coincide with their life, and their dreams, and their goals; nor should it, because each one is allotted a certain amount of time to live as they see fit. Beloved, while it is still called, “Today,” participate in living, for GOD has already accepted your works.

“Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.” Ecclesiastes 9:7

HERE’S THE NUGGET: To abstain from enjoying the fruit of your labor is not advisable nor biblical for a pleasant journey that ends all too soon.

“12 I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, 13 and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 3:12-13

Until next time,
Go enjoy your hard earned fruits!

TO CHASTISE ISN’T WISE

Unwise-fist-2

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” 1 Corinthians 13:11

Dear warrior,
As you pray, faith is at work; it accumulates strength, and will even move mountains if you let. However, today my warning to you is not to take it so hard if you believe that what you have asked for does not magically appear. Make your requests known with earnest prayer, and then be confident that you are heard-AND if you know that you are heard, then you must wait expectantly and graciously for the answer.

“14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

HOW WE ADVANCE

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12

Never chastise the kingdom if what you want doesn’t instantly appear; there is an order to the workings and no amount of demanding will hurry it along. Your job is to stand before doubt & lack in defiance and speak forth positive words of power. The kingdom advances by force, and the praises of its people empower the advancement of anointing that fortifies the saints (you & me), to stem the scourge of the underworld and all its demonic workers of iniquity.

Reread the above paragraph & then ponder its meaning for a moment…

HERE’S THE NUGGET:

Put praise in your heart, and earnestly pray. Speak forth words of faith, for this is the shield that protects. Wait patiently, and you will see the answer arrive at its appointed time…step aside and favor will not find you.

Until next time,
Be mature in your faith and young in your heart 🙂

THE UNEXPECTED BLESSING

Dear lovely,
Today, I was remembering a time when I wanted to bless someone financially. I was working on a project and I really didn’t need the help but I was moved by this person’s situation, so for the sake of dignity, rather than just handing them a check, I decided to see if they would be interested in helping me with something very simple. The job would have required a few hours of work and then my intention was to bless them well beyond the scope of the task. To my surprise, and rather than graciously saying yes (or no), they told me they needed to pray about it to see if they got a, “Check in the spirit” before they could commit. Though moderately irritated, I decided to give it a little time (time I really didn’t have), and a few days later and still no reply, the charitable moment passed.

Dear warrior, if we walk by faith we do not need to toil & labor to make decisions. Be “Prayed up” so that you can be ready for the unexpected blessing; however it may present itself.

HERE’S THE NUGGET: You do not need to search your spirit and tax your soul at every juncture of life. Grab hold of what you believe is good and worthy to align with, and remember, the Just shall live by his/her faith.

“Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4

Until next time,
stay open, awake, aware, and available!

A Sunday Word of Encouragement

“8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matt 7:8-11

All things seen are not for you; some would destroy the good in you, and some would turn you away from your LORD. Ask the FATHER, and what HE gives is for your joy, but remember, you must find joy in what you receive or it will rot without fulfilling its divine purpose; for all things have a purpose, even the rock falling in the most obscure of canyons far, far, away…Dear lovely, you may not know of it, but the LORD does.

Until next time,
Ask & be satisfied
