As believers of CHRIST, we are going from glory to glory. As followers of JESUS, we are on a victory march knowing that as we walk our ordained steps, we arrive at the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and HE delights in his way.”
Ps 37:23
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
Prov 16:9

I was recently taken aback when someone well known in the music industry attempted to peddle their services based on yesterday’s feats (achievements, deeds, exploits, accomplishments). I tried to smooth it over by telling myself that they were just proud of their past, but it soon became obvious that this person and I would not be a compatible match. While we are to learn from the past, we must never dwell there if we want to press forward and into the office of our High Calling.

“12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Phil 3:12-14

We are living in a very progressive world full of momentum, and we must be malleable and wise if we want to keep in step with the Holy Spirit’s forward movement. We must be wiser than the serpent (who can only dig up old bones of yesterday) if we are to obtain our promised land.  Dear warrior, do not faint at the sight of giants; your steps are watched over and your way is protected: The LORD will not lead you astray (Numbers 13-14).

The associations that I want to make are with forward thinkers who are BOLD enough to be unique, HUMBLE enough to know from where their abilities come, and BRAVE enough to withstand the inevitable onslaught that comes whenever one challenges the ‘status quo’.

Until next time,
Walk with me along the victory path 🐾

I’ve asked you this before but it’s on my mind again tonight: So, I ask you, “What is better, the beginning or the end of a thing?  And what about the middle (the “Now”), does it or does it not have merit (worthiness)?

“The end of a thing is better than its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” Eccl 7:8

Uh huh! Your dreams are not dead and the clock ticks at the LORD’S pace, not yours.
All things have a proper time and place so while you’re working towards your goal and waiting for that door to open, why not enjoy & partake of the simple pleasures of your “Now” (AKA: the Middle) ?!

I can tell you that I used to be afraid to enjoy myself because I thought if I was too happy, the LORD would forget to answer my ongoing request; I figured, if I wallowed in self-pity and self-denial it would move HIM to work  quicker on my behalf. LOL, it didn’t!!

It’s funny now, but in all honesty, being me is a very distracting thing. The LORD knows that I am not programmed to sit still. HE also knows that I dislike sleep because I do not want to miss things. But more than anything, I hate, hate, hate, to feel like I’m wasting time. Funny thing about time is that it moves at its designated pace whether or not we play a part or partake. Let me comfort you with this truth because some of us stress more than others when it comes to achieving our goals in a “timely” fashion: Faith has an amazing way of leveling the playing field where all things are easy and the spoils are yours for the taking!
I could give you MIGHTY examples but I want you to ponder this for your life and how it can and will apply if you do not lose heart. I speak what I know to be true because only what I receive (go through/overcome) can I truly give back to you. So, stand still and see that the battle is not yours unless you make it so.

“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.” Exodus 14:13

As Moses said to the people, I say to you, ‘In a moment’s wink, the mountain that is standing in your way will be the victory of your testimony.’

Until next time,
Chill out and enjoy your now 😘

If your steps are ordered (directed/required) and you jump ahead, you will arrive unprepared when you get there. Lack of preparation means that you will be reliant upon the knowledge of another whose expertise is based upon their experiences (steps), and their prejudices (life they’ve lived), and their walk (victories they’ve overcome), and their self-serving goals (human nature). Never fool yourself into thinking that anyone has your best interests at heart. Everyone is seeking their own Shangri-La; be it in CHRIST or other.
Dear warriors, understand that everything has its purpose, even your perceived, “Delay”. And THIS I know very well!

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Psalm 37:23-24

HERE’S THE NUGGET: Stand in faith and do not disbelieve; for what is written and proclaimed will not return void.
