Dear warrior,
I never talk much about the darker years of my life but I definitely had them, and during those times I tried to fill a void that I couldn’t even define; I didn’t know if I was lonely, needy, mad, hurt, bad, sad, depressed, or a combination thereof, but I knew I was empty.
As I was reflecting on my life tonight, I realized how amazing it is that somehow what wasn’t just became what is. For instance, once I was alone, and now I have a mate and a oneness with no borders to cross. I once did not have a definitive goal, and now I do. I once lost a loved one more dear to me than words could ever articulate, and today, I have a quiver full of devotion.
Dear warrior, if you allow The LORD, HE will come near to repair that which is broken, HE will shine HIS Light on the spirit of confusion to give clarity of purpose, and HE will show you the path of life.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Until next time,
Seek shalom. (Jer 29:11-13)

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14

It is hard to enter the narrow path, especially if you carry a large load: Cast off your burdens, those things that you trust in, and know that the LORD will provide all you need for your journey to be successful and purposeful. If you put your faith and trust in your things, then the wide road is waiting for you because it’s a narrow path, with a narrow gate, and there’s no room for baggage. Remember, warrior, difficult is the way.

There is no Shangri-La or nirvana waiting for you at the end of the wide road you entered onto through the wide gate. Though the narrow gate and narrow path may test your metal, it will not harm you; on the contrary, it will embolden you, strengthen you, and give you a purpose and a mark to focus on.

There will come a time when the gate will close and those who have not chosen will not be able to enter in, and the LORD will say, ‘I do not know you from where you are’ (on the outside). The path of righteousness will not lead you to destruction, but the wide path will. It was spoken , it is written, and it is true. Choose wisely!

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” Matthew 7:21-23

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:8

Now then, march on BOLD warrior into 2017 where you will celebrate its wealth of good that is in store for you.

Happy New Year!
