Glorious Lord, if faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, then we desire to hear You and bask in Your presence.  Amen!

5 And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? 8 I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.” Luke 11:5-8

Remember, lovelies, every single word Jesus spoke was as a hidden pearl. Nothing written is frivolous, and everything is deeply profound!

He continues…

9, “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Luke 11:9-10

Do you believe this?  If so, do not cease from asking, for as it was written, it is so. Ask the Lord, and speak forth those things from your soul; those things that you desire. But do not allow greed or vanity to cloud your mind’s eye for, if so, what you seek will elude you.

3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. James 4:3

Your job, beloved, is to believe in your hearts that what you desire will be addressed before the Lord and He will decide.

11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11: 11-14

“ 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

Receive the peace that Jesus gives to you. Take hold of it, for there is a time for all things, and impatience is not one of them. As disciples, you are to do what is in your hearts to do (your works), this day and all days. As Christ’s workmanship, you are to seek the truth that illuminates and makes free.

HERE’S THE NUGGET: Do not pollute your works with worry of things, for are you the teacher and are you the giver as Jesus?  Be at peace lambs of God, and do not be consumed with matters that are not of your control.

Until next time,
The Lord is good and His mercy endures.
